The bowl is a bit small but we have gotten used to it. It’s a great buy especially if you travel a lot. You want to ensure your fur baby is fed on time. I have an alert weekly to ensure I fill the “bowl with food.

One of our cats has always been a problem eater: inhaling his own food, raiding our other cat’s bowl, and then promptly getting sick — always, somehow, on the carpet. Beyond the mess, our other cat wasn’t getting her daily portion, and his weight was becoming a real concern. I tried everything. Separated feeding areas helped with the bowl-stealing, but not the overeating. A slow-feeder bowl seemed promising until he figured out how to flip it and gorge on the spilled contents. I cycled through multiple high-end brands, both dry and wet, thinking the food itself was the issue. It wasn’t. This automatic feeder finally solved it. Programmed portion control, delivered on a consistent schedule, meant he couldn’t eat more than he was supposed to — full stop. The results have been remarkable: no more vomiting, no more carpet cleanup, and his weight has stabilized. He’s genuinely doing well. One practical note: he did attempt to knock the unit over and break into it, so I built a small platform to secure it. If you have a determined cat, plan for that.
